2024 Sudtirol Kalterersee Classico Superiore DOC, Weingut Ignaz Niedrist

A blend of Vernatsch (AKA Schiava)  with a touch of Lagrein - both native grapes to Alto Adige, and so catching the essence of fresh, crunchy alpine red wine. 

Bright, luminous ruby red in the glass, there are delicate and precise notes of cherry and violets on the nose. Fresh on the palate, with crisp acidity as well as fine-grained tannic  structure and a generous fruity core.
