2021 Sudtiroler Lagrein 'Berger Gei' Riserva DOC, Weingut Ignaz Niedrist

Lagrein is an indigenous grape to Sudtirol in Alto Adige, known for the intense coloured wines it produces, and high, fresh acidity. In the right hands it produces exceptionally complex and aromatic wines.

True to form, this wine is a deep purple hue in the glass. A nose of blackberry and dark chocolate. Full and round on the palate with firm tannins and a refreshing acidity. Steely, mineral notes and a long complex finish.
