2023 Sudtiroler Weissburgunder, Weingut Niedrist

Hailing from the idyllic alpine region of Alto Adige, on the Italy/Austria border, this Weissburgunder - or Pinot Blanc as it's known elsewhere - is a textbook example of the complex, mineral-fresh whites of the region.

Bright, intense straw yellow. Delicate, elegant nose with green herbal notes of freshly cut grass and some thyme. Precise and straightforward on the palate with crisp acidity, lots of drive, juicy with salty fruit on a long finish.
